I/We agree and accept that the authorised officer shall reserve the right to to cancel registration of fishing vessel if it is found that.

i)

The particulars furnished in the application are materially incorrect, or

ii)

The vessel has been engaged in

(a) Contravention of the provision (s) of the Act and Rules, and

(b) Any commercial activity not connected with fishing.

(a)

Application should be submitted to the authorised officer in the principal fishing base vide column No. 9.

(b)

When a vessel is owned jointly by more that one person, names of all the owners and their corresponding father's name and present address, respectively, should be furnished separately. In such an event all the owners should sing the application and verification both.

(c)

When a vessel is owned by a "Company" as defined and explained in section 22(2) of the Act, this is not necessary.

(d)

Evidence, to the satisfaction of authorised officer, is necessary.

(e)

State whether a complete hull has been purchase or the hull has been constructed under direct supervision purchasing the materials used in construction.

(f)

State the principal component like wood, steel, glass fiber ect.

(g)

State name of principal fishing base with reference to its defination in rule 2(c) of the Rules.

(h)

State 'type of fishing' in relation to fishing gear or tackle e.g. gill netting, fixed bag netting, trawling, purseseining, hook and lining, ect.

(i)

Suggest 4 names in order of preference. Subject to availability for the purpose of allotment the authorised officer will allot one name keeping in view the order of preference of owner. If none of  the 4 names is available for allotment, the authorised officer will ask for further names.
